Job Title: Postdoctoral Position in Data-Driven Multifield Brain Modeling

Description of Position: The Soft Matter Biomechanics Group at Stevens Institute of Technology has an opening for a postdoctoral research fellow in multiscale, multiphysics brain modeling starting as early as March 1, 2021. The Soft Matter Biomechanics Group focuses on developing computational methods that interact with data-driven approaches and medical image analysis techniques with applications to brain aging and neurodegenerative diseases. This position will provide able opportunities to work on constitutive modeling, numerical implementation, and machine learning techniques. They also will have the opportunity to contribute to our ongoing clinical collaborations and projects on the experimental characterization of brain tissue and graph-modeling of disease progression. Experience and a background in continuum methods and medical image analysis is desired.

Minimum Qualifications: A PhD in engineering, applied mathematics, biophysics or applied physics is required. Expertise in computational science and scientific computing applied to problems in physics (including biophysics) or engineering, as well as an exposure to data-driven modeling are desired.
